Jean Baptiste Gatete
Jean Baptiste Gatete born in 1953 in Murambi commune, former Byumba prefecture; he served as Bourgmestre from 1987 to 1993 and was member of the MRND national congress. He planned and directly participated in genocide and crimes against humanity, murder and rape between 6 April and 30 April 1994, particularly in the parish of Kiziguro. He was arrested on 11 September 2002 in the Republic of Congo and transferred to the ICTR. Gatete was sentenced to 40 years imprisonment.  
Jean Bosco Barayagwiza
Jean-Bosco Barayagwiza (born 1950) Mutura, Gisenyi, Rwanda, was a Rwandan diplomat and the chairman of the executive committee for the Rwandan Télévision Libre des Mille Collines (1993-1994). He was charged and convicted on 3, December 2003; by the ICTR to 35years imprisonment. Barayagwiza died on 25 April 2010 in Cotonou, Benin due to an advanced case of Hepatitis C.  
Jean Kambanda
Jean Kambanda (born 19, October 1955) was the Prime Minister in the caretaker government of Rwanda from the start of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. He is the only head of government to plead guilty to genocide, in the first group of such convictions since the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide came into effect in 1951. Kambanda was found guilty after pleading guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment on 4, September 1998.
