Le 18 Mars 1992, le journal "Liberation" publie un article sur les massacres des Tutsis dans la région Bugesera, et selon les leaders des partis d'opposition MDR et PL, le pouvoir serait responsable de ces massacres.  

 

 

 

 

Mathieu Ngirumpatse (born 1939) was president of the Mouvement républicain national pour la démocratie et le développement (MRND). He and his co-accused Édouard Karemera exercised effective control over the Interahamwe, the youth wing of the MRND. Mathieu was sentenced to life imprisonment on 21 December 2011, for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes including rape and sexual violence.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mbugo Leopold was married and had 7 children. He loved dearly his family and was a very hardworking man. He left Kigali on April 6th where he was going to visit his family in Gisenyi, and he was killed in his home town.
