The existence of this location as a fourth order administrative unit in Rwanda in the pre-2003 geographical arrangment has not been verified.  

"A third order administrative division of Rwanda according to the 1962 geographical arrangement, located within the Nyabisindu commune of Butare prefecture. After 1997, it became Ville de Nyanza in Butare province. Since 2003, it has been part of Southern province. 1900-1916: German East Africa 1916-1924: Ruanda-Urundi (de facto Belgian colonial rule) 1924-1962: Ruanda-Urundi (de jure Belgian colonial rule) 1962- : Republic of Rwanda"
